CONJOINT PROJECTION

This survey method has been used extensively in marketing research.  It has not been used that often in employee research.  Over the years, I've done over 50 conjoint surveys for my clients.  I may have more experience than anyone in terms of applying this survey method to employee surveys.  Below is an example of a matrix used in data collection.

If the Company were to consider the introduction of a new tuition assistance program, I would prefer:

That such a program not be introduced

To reimburse 50% of the cost

To reimburse 90% 0f the cost for an “A” and 70% for a “B” and 50% for a “C”

To reimburse 60% of the cost for a “C” or better  0% for less

If the Company were to consider making changes in the retirement income plan, I would prefer:

To keep it as it is where a portion of my benefit is in a fixed plan
